Biography
I was born in Moscow in the stormiest night of 1985 and made Aliyah in the rainiest morning of 1989. Although my parents accompanied me, it was my decision and mine alone. Changing my name from the Russian Georgey Alexanderovich Kurlianchik to the Hebrew Uri was likewise my own conscious and well thought-through decision. I have no regrets.

During the formative high-school years, my English teacher, a fine specimen of the old Yorkshire intelligentsia said "your paper is really disturbing; I think you should see the school councilor." It is then that I decided to become a game writer. Right there in the councilor's office.

During my military service I started pitching proposals to Dungeon Magazine at the rate of 1d6+1 per week until the poor magazine surrendered and let me have my way with them - the result was my first adventure; "Murder in Oakbridge."

Like a greedy dragon fed his first maiden, or a heartless conquistador pillaging through a Mexican village, this gave me an appetite for more; an appetite that will never be sated.

In the following years I have replaced the green and disciplined army life with the unshaved, unhaircutted university life. My chosen fields of study were English and History - to create gaming literature that is both historically plausible and grammatically correct.

This is not one of them.

Presently, I inhabit urikson@gmail.com and live of praises and complaints.
